Monthly Check-in Presentation & Exchange

Starting in June 2026, Asterisk in Residence Kyoto will host a monthly event, Monthly Check-in Presentation & Exchange, on the second Thursday of each month.
The event invites international creatives currently staying in Kyoto to introduce themselves, share their research, creative processes, and reflections from their time in the city.
Rather than a platform for presenting completed outcomes, the event provides an open space for sharing ongoing ideas, questions, and works in progress. It aims to foster connections between international creatives and Kyoto-based cultural practitioners, businesses, students, residency organisers, and local communities.
We are also seeking presenters for future sessions. If you are currently staying in Kyoto, or planning a future stay, and would like to share your practice, research, creative process, or observations from Kyoto, please apply using the form below.
Application Form: https://forms.gle/CtJJcnv5d8cK9d8i6
Upcoming event information will be announced on the event page and Instagram.
