【📣Open Call - International Creators in Residence Kyoto】
*** in Residence Kyoto invites international creators, artists, researchers, designers, and cultural practitioners for our 2026 program.
Our host residences are newly selected micro-residency spaces. As many are still developing their own ways of hosting, this program carries a uniquely experimental and collaborative character. We highly value your research, process, and co-creating meaningful exchange with the local community rather than just a finished artwork.
- Residency Period: 1 Month (between Sep – Dec 2026)
- Application Deadline: June 21, 2026 (Sun) 23:59 JST

“*** in Residence Kyoto” is a residency project that connects creators from around the world with people living in Kyoto to share daily life, exchange perspectives, and build relationships for the future.
Inspired by Kyoto’s 25-year artist-in-residence history, it welcomes creators across art, architecture, crafts, literature, food, and startups for 1–3 month stays. By engaging with local residents and reinterpreting everyday culture, they reveal new charms of the city.
