Selection Results: Southeast Asian Arts Coordinator / Creators 2026｜公募選考結果のお知らせ「東南アジア アートコーディネーター／クリエイター 2026」
We are delighted to announce the practitioner selected for the Open Call for Southeast Asian Arts Coordinator / Creators 2026, an exchange programme organised by the Artist-in-Residence Vietnam Network (AiRViNe) in collaboration with ＊＊＊ in Residence Kyoto.
This programme serves as an incubator for cross-regional dialogue and peer learning, connecting practitioners across Vietnam, Japan, and neighbouring Southeast Asian countries. Alongside artists and creators, the Open Call welcomed a wide range of practitioners, including coordinators, mediators, and place-based practitioners. The Open Call this summer drew many applications from across Southeast Asia. After a careful review of the application materials by AiRViNe and ＊＊＊ in Residence Kyoto, we are pleased to introduce the following practitioner.
During her stay of about one month, she will meet residencies, cultural spaces, and local people in Kyoto, gathering the places and connections she discovers along the way.

Yarwpa Theepwong
Cultural Practitioner / Arts Coordinator｜Chiang Mai, Thailand
Tentative Period of Stay: March 1, 2027 – March 31, 2027
Residency Base: Rakushi Housing Complex (Rakushi Danchi)
Yarwpa Theepwong is a cultural practitioner based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with over 15 years of experience in the arts and cultural field. Her work spans exhibitions, artist residencies, and cultural programmes. She currently works with SAC Residency and The Land Foundation, engaging in artistic, cultural, and community-based initiatives. Her current research explores how cultural institutions and people connect and relate to one another across places, and she is developing Open City, a platform for exploring these relationships within and between cities.

この度、Artist-in-Residence Vietnam Network（AiRViNe）と＊＊＊ in Residence Kyotoの連携による交換プログラム「Open Call for Southeast Asian Arts Coordinator / Creators 2026」において、京都に滞在する実践者が決定いたしました。
本プログラムは、ベトナム、日本、そして近隣の東南アジア諸国の実践者をつなぎ、地域を越えた対話と学び合いを育むためのプログラムです。アーティストやクリエイターに加え、コーディネーターやメディエーター、土地に根ざした実践者など、幅広い実践者を対象としています。今夏実施したオープンコールには、東南アジア各地から数多くのご応募をいただき、AiRViNeと＊＊＊ in Residence Kyotoによる書類審査を経て、以下の方を選出いたしました。
約1か月の滞在中は、京都のレジデンスや文化拠点、地域の人々との出会いを重ねながら、そこで見つけた場所や人のつながりを集めていきます。

滞在予定期間：2027年3月1日 - 3月31日
滞在拠点：楽只市営住宅
タイ・チェンマイを拠点に活動する文化実践者。15年以上にわたり芸術文化の分野に携わり、展覧会やアーティスト・イン・レジデンス、文化プログラムに取り組んできた。現在はSAC ResidencyおよびThe Land Foundationに関わり、アートと文化、コミュニティをつなぐ活動を行っている。近年は、文化施設と人々が場所を越えてどのようにつながり、関わり合っているのかに関心を寄せ、その関係を都市の内外から探るプラットフォーム Open City を構想している。
