***Open Studio 企画内容
大原野スタジオギャラリーに滞在する2名のアーティストが中心となり、地域の人々やオープンスタジオに訪れた人々と共に参加型の作品をつくります。 AIアーティストであるJuhyun Hwangは地域住民や訪れた方の顔をスキャンし、それをもとにAIで新しいイメージを生成します。生成された作品はその場で印刷して本人に手渡され、AIを体験する場となります。さらに映像作家であるKim Taehyunがその様子を記録し、地域とAIが出会う瞬間を映像作品として残します。
Two artists in residence at Ohara-no Studio Gallery will lead the creation of participatory artworks together with local residents and visitors to the open studio. AI artist Juhyun Hwang will scan the faces of participants and generate new images using AI. The resulting works will be printed on the spot and handed directly to the participants, creating an interactive experience with AI. Additionally, video artist Kim Taehyun will document the process, capturing the moments where the local community and AI intersect, and preserve them as a video artwork.

◎Overview
OHARANO STUDIO GALLERY is a space for people to connect through art, based in Oharano, Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto. We host artists-in-residence for both domestic and international artists, organize exhibitions and events in a gallery space, create artwork in a studio, and plan and manage various cultural and artistic programs. Surrounded by nature, while engaging in daily artistic creation, we strive to stay connected to the town and local communities.

OHARANO STUDIO GALLERYは、京都市西京区の大原野を拠点として、アートを通じて人々と交流する場所です。国内外のアーティストを対象としたレジデンス、ギャラリースペースでの展示やイベント、スタジオでの制作、文化芸術に関する企画運営などを行っています。自然に囲まれた中で、日々の芸術制作を行う場所でありながら、街と繋がり、地域の方々と触れ合う窓口となることを目指しています。

An area of rural landscapes surrounded by bamboo groves and mountains. Historic temples and shrines such as Ōharano Shrine and Shōbōji are within walking distance, alongside traditional craft workshops and studios of artists and designers. Despite being within Kyoto City, the region offers nostalgic satoyama scenery and encounters with longtime residents and skilled craftspeople.
