略歴 / Short Biography
私は台湾・台中を拠点に活動する独立系の出版者です。独立系書店兼カルチャースペース「Artqpie」で働きながら、来店者との交流やインディペンデント出版に携わっています。
日々の出来事や個人的な気づきから着想を得て、自分の考えや視点を表現するためにZINEを制作しています。また、グラフィックデザインや立体作品の制作にも、ときどき取り組んでいます。
I am an independent publisher based in Taichung, Taiwan. I work at Artqpie, an independent bookstore and cultural space, where I interact with visitors and engage in independent publishing. Inspired by everyday experiences and personal reflections, I create zines to express my thoughts and perspectives. I also occasionally work on graphic design and three-dimensional artworks.
活動について / About you
インディペンデント出版に興味を持つようになったのは高校生の頃です。雑誌を読む習慣がつき、次第に紙のメディアそのものに惹かれるようになりました。その後、ZINEの文化に出会い、日々のなかで気づいたことを小さな冊子にまとめ、友人に共有するところから、自分でも制作を始めました。
こうした経験をきっかけにArtqpieに関わるようになり、現在は書店の運営をはじめ、展覧会の企画や編集・出版プロジェクトにも携わっています。インディペンデント出版を通して、日常をどのように記録し、個人的な経験を人に伝えることができるのかを探っています。
さまざまな書店や文化的な場を実際に訪れ、そこでの出会いや経験から新しい視点を得ながら、これからも新たなアイデアや表現の可能性を見つけていきたいと考えています。
My interest in independent publishing began in high school, when I developed a habit of reading magazines and became fascinated by print media. Later, I discovered zine culture and started making my own publications, turning everyday observations into small books to share with friends. This experience led me to join Artqpie, where I help run the bookstore, curate exhibitions, and work on editing and publishing projects. Through independent publishing, I explore ways of documenting daily life and communicating personal experiences. I hope to gain new perspectives by experiencing different bookstores and cultural spaces, and to continue discovering new ideas through these encounters.
滞在中の活動予定 / Your plan during the residency
滞在中は、読書空間と地域文化、都市のアイデンティティの関係を探る継続的なリサーチ／制作プロジェクト「Plan:Sector」を、京都でも展開する予定です。共同書庫をはじめ、独立系書店、私設図書館、出版に関わるスペースなどを訪れ、それぞれの読書空間が地域のコミュニティにどのような影響を与え、都市の文化的な特徴をどのように映し出しているのかを探ります。
特に、共有型の図書館であり、読書を通じたコミュニティでもある共同書庫に焦点を当てます。参与観察やインタビュー、記録、また書店員や出版社、文化活動に携わる人々との対話を通して、個人の蔵書がどのように共有の文化資源となっていくのか、そして読書の場がどのように対話や交流、コミュニティを育んでいるのかを考察したいと考えています。
これまで台中や東京で行ってきたリサーチを踏まえ、今回の滞在を通して、リサーチ、デザイン、インディペンデント出版を介した台中と京都の文化的なつながりをさらに深め、本と人、そして都市のあいだに新たな対話が生まれるきっかけをつくりたいと考えています。
During the residency, I plan to extend Plan:Sector, an ongoing research and creative project exploring the relationships between reading spaces, local culture, and urban identity, to Kyoto. Through Kyodo Shoko, independent bookstores, private libraries, and publishing spaces, I hope to further investigate how different reading spaces shape local communities and reflect the cultural identity of a city.
My research will focus on Kyodo Shoko as a shared library and reading community. Through participant observation, interviews, documentation, and conversations with booksellers, publishers, and cultural practitioners, I hope to better understand how personal book collections become shared cultural resources, and how reading spaces foster dialogue, exchange, and community.
Building on my previous research in Taichung and Tokyo, I hope this residency will strengthen the cultural connections between Taichung and Kyoto through research, design, and independent publishing, creating new opportunities for dialogue between books, people, and cities.
