You are warmly invited from Zun Ei to a special community event inside the old Kominka house at Kurodani. Together, we will experience a gentle ritual, enjoy the motifs created on shoji art, reflect on the meaning of home, and share tea in a spirit of connection and renewal.
金戒光明寺のそばにある古民家にて、特別なイベントを開催します。穏やかな儀礼から始まり、障子に文様を灯し、家や記憶について静かに考える時間を経て、最後には日本とZun Ei Phyuの故郷であるミャンマーのお茶を囲んで語り合うひととき。
Through light, breath, and handmade objects, this house becomes a space to remember the past, honor ancestors, and imagine what home means today.
光や息づかい、手の動きとともに、この家は「過去を思い出す場所」「祖先を敬う場所」そして「今の自分にとっての“家”を描きなおす場所」として立ち上がります。
About the Creator | Zun Ei Phyu
Zun Ei Phyu is a medical doctor, expressive art therapy practitioner and multidisciplinary artist whose work spans participatory, experiential, and community-based art projects. Addressing social and environmental issues affecting children, the elderly, and less advantage communities, she engages with crisis situations in Myanmar and around the world, aiming to promote peace, justice, and psychosocial resilience through her practices. Her projects have involved collaborations with communities across Southeast Asia and Europe, and she is a member of the theatre project TERA ASIA and she is one of the founding member of the Association for Myanmar Contemporary Arts(AMCA). She is a fellow and currently serves as a Program manager of Networks and Alliances for the Mekong Cultural Hub.
ズン・エイ・ピューは、医師であり多分野にわたるアーティスト。参加型・体験型のアートや、コミュニティを基盤としたアートプロジェクトを手がけ、子どもや高齢者に関する社会的・環境的課題に取り組む。近年は、ミャンマーをはじめ世界各地で起こる危機的な状況に向き合い、作品を通じて平和・正義・心理社会的レジリエンスの促進を目指して活動している。東南アジアやヨーロッパのコミュニティと協働し、国際的なプロジェクトにも多数参加してきた。TERA ASITA演劇プロジェクトのメンバーであり、Mekong Cultural Hubフェローを行う傍ら、ミャンマー現代アート協会（AMCA）のプロジェクト・マネージャーも努めている。
Her artistic approach merges medical insight with multidisciplinary creativity, often using theatre, performance, and participatory art to address collective memory, emotions, and social healing contexts such as trauma, palliative care, and loss recovery. Drawing on her experience with communities across Southeast Asia, Zun creates tactile, interactive works that encourage collaboration, introspection, and transformation. She designs workshops and theatrical works that engage with Buddhist perspectives on life and death, aiming to foster empathy, dialogue, and resilience within diverse communities. Past works include performances exploring the intersection of spiritual space and social narrative.
医療の知見と多分野の創造性を融合させ、演劇やパフォーマンス、参加型アートを通じて、場所の記憶や人々の感情、社会的癒しに働きかけるアプローチを実践している。アートセラピーの考え方に基づいたワークショップや、仏教的な死生観をテーマとする演劇作品を制作し、共感や対話、レジリエンスを育む場を生み出してきた。過去には日本にも招聘され、寺院での公演を通して精神的空間と社会的物語の交差点を探求している。
