Hirao Mikuna 平尾 みく菜
自己紹介：
同志社大学文学部英文学科3年の平尾みく菜です。三重県鈴鹿市出身の21歳です。
大学では英語教育学の第二言語習得メカニズムについて研究しつつ、自分自身も多言語の習得が好きで、大学に入ってからスペイン語、イタリア語、ポルトガル語を習得しました。また留学経験を通して異文化理解の向上にも取り組んできました。🇦🇺🇳🇿🇨🇦🇪🇸
現在は、学生主体で立ち上げた英会話カフェ「ECG」で、多国籍のスタッフとともに運営やイベント企画を行っています。最近ではハロウィンイベントを企画し、200名以上の参加者を集客することができた経験がとても印象に残っています。
将来的には、成長や挑戦を志向する若者を支援できる場を提供したいと考えています。そのため、幅広い人々とつながりながら、グローバルな視点を持って成長をサポートするスキルをさらに磨いていきたいです。
I am Mikuna Hirao, a third-year student at Doshisha University, majoring in English Literature in the Faculty of Letters. I am 21 years old and from Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture.
At university, I am researching second language acquisition mechanisms in English education while also pursuing my passion for learning multiple languages. Since entering university, I have learned Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Additionally, through my study abroad experiences, I have worked to deepen my understanding of different cultures. 🇦🇺🇳🇿🇨🇦🇪🇸
Currently, I manage and plan events at "ECG," an English conversation café I co-founded with fellow students. Together with a multinational team of staff, I have gained valuable experience, such as organizing a Halloween event that attracted over 200 participants, which left a strong impression on me.
In the future, I aspire to create spaces that support young people eager to grow and take on challenges. To achieve this, I aim to further develop my skills in fostering growth and building connections with diverse individuals while maintaining a global perspective.

1. Opportunity to Engage with Diverse Perspectives and Values in Creative Fields
Through interactions with creative talents from around the world, I hope to gain exposure to a variety of disciplines, such as architecture, literature, and business, beyond my area of expertise in linguistics. By collaborating and exchanging ideas with university students from different cultural and social backgrounds, I aim to broaden my perspectives and acquire insights that will benefit my future career.

私自身が留学経験を通じて異文化理解を深めたように、京都という国際的な魅力を持つ都市で海外のクリエイターや大学生と協働し、その魅力を再発見し発信したいと考えています。また、京都の文化や伝統を海外の方々に伝える過程で、自分自身も改めて日本文化への理解を深められることを期待しています。
2. Rediscovering and Showcasing the Cultural Appeal of Kyoto
Having deepened my understanding of different cultures through study abroad experiences, I am excited about collaborating with international creators and university students in Kyoto, a city with immense global appeal. I hope to rediscover Kyoto's cultural richness and share its charm with the world. Additionally, in the process of introducing Kyoto's traditions and heritage to international participants, I look forward to furthering my own understanding of Japanese culture.

3. Enhancing My Skills in a Global Environment
Through this program, I aim to refine my communication skills, hospitality, and project management abilities, which are crucial in international settings. Drawing on my experience running an English conversation café, "ECG," with a multinational team, I am eager to play an active role as a bridge between university students and creators. This will not only contribute to the success of the program but also support my personal growth.
